Programme overview

The CIOB Chartered Membership Programme is a practical and structured route to becoming a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) with the Chartered Institute of Building. Designed for experienced construction professionals who may not hold formal degree qualifications, the programme provides the knowledge, support and guidance required to achieve professional chartered status.

The programme is delivered through 36 x one hour webinars, supported by recorded sessions, learning materials, past assessment examples and one to one tutor support throughout the course. Participants will cover four key areas: Construction Technology, Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Construction Business Environment, and Management.

Assessment is completed through an open-book assignment based on a construction project scenario. Candidates are given 12 days to complete and submit responses to four questions covering the programme modules.

Entry Requirements Applicants should have one of the following:

Five years’ experience in a construction management role, or
A Level 6 Site Management qualification, or
A relevant technical qualification

Funding Construction Professionals Skillnet is offering this programme at 70% funding, reducing the cost to €895 per person for eligible member companies.
