Programme overview
Learn the skills to work in a more streamlined and digital manner on construction sites.
On this course you will learn how to:
- Use cloud storage
- Navigate and extract information from a 3D model produced with BIM software
- Use and create scanning applications to improve efficiencies on site
- Use technology to improve efficiencies, processes and safety when applied to a construction project.
Learners are expected to complete exercises and learning objectives between the formal sessions and will complete four assignments to achieve the Level 6 CPD Certificate in Digital Delivery for Site Workers. Approximately 100 total learning hours required to successfully achieve the certificate. The programme facilitator will work with the learners to ensure that they understand the materials and are able to apply it to their assignments.
Specifically, you will learn how to use:
- Navisworks – Enables construction site teams to use existing 3D BIM models, including navigating, measuring and selecting information within them to facilitate better knowledge exchange and faster decisions onsite.
- Bluebeam Revu (pdf software) – Enables more streamlined communication between the office and site, as it removes a reliance on hard copies of drawings. Furthermore, Bluebeam enables drawings to be quickly compared, overlaid, measured and marked up.
